AshLee was born and raised here in Murray and is a mobile Utah dog trainer. One of her favorite things about this community is how we think of our dogs, they are a essential part of our families. She started out as a volunteer for K9 Lifeline and Heather Beck, training and running socializations and providing caring for daycare and boarding dogs. This led to being mentored by Heather Beck, who she values and respects, and who works along side Cesar Millan, teaching at many of his workshops. She ultimately became the Manager and Lead Trainer for K9 Lifeline, running the facility, until deciding to become The Loyal Canine Inc.
She has specialized in working with dogs with severe difficult behavioral problems, including aggression to people and other animals, anxiety, and fear, helping them into a rehabilitated calm state of mind. She has hands on experience in Pack socialization, which successfully socializes large groups of dogs and integrating dogs with problem behaviors, using a pack to achieve success.
AshLee has taught 3D Workshop “Dealing with Difficult Dogs”, along side Heather Beck. Teaching other trainers, students, shelter workers, etc how to successfully work with dogs with issues. AshLee has attended workshops held by some of the best in the business, including Chad Mackin and Heather Becks 3D workshop, three years in a row, Marc Goldbergs 2 day Force Free Method of Training Workshop, Attended IACP out of state Confrences, as well as being certified by Kacey Cover in the SATS method of training– Perception modifcation. She strives to attend many more workshops in the future in order to stay educated in new and improved training techniques learning from the best in the business.
I have great pride in volunteering for Cesar Millian in December 2013 for his Training Cesar’s Way workshop. “It was a once in a lifetime experience and I was able to learn from the best”.
AshLee was one of trainers who trained over 50 dogs for The Twelve Dogs of Christmas : Great Puppy Rescue in 2012. “This was such a fun and exciting experience! The cast, dog owners, and dogs were all amazing to work with and I can’t wait to be apart of it again”.
Recently teaching a workshop with the biggest rescue in Utah, Best Friends Animal Society’s Sandy Adoption center. She taught a Staff Education and Safe Handling Workshop. It was an amazing opportunity to work close within the rescue community. Teaching the adoption centers staff how to effectively handle the dogs there, as well as make the environment less stressful and more of an environment for learning. The following day, AshLee taught Best Friends Foster family’s how to be a Successful Foster Parent. This is so important because they are the first step in these dogs lives. It takes special people to be able to take in an animal they have no intention of keeping forever. My goal was to help them get these dogs on the right foot with training so that they would STAY in their new forever homes. We worked very hard in getting both groups on the same page so the dogs were working the exact same way in each environment!
I am very empathetic to both people and their dogs. I have been there before, and with hard work, dedication, and the right tools and education, anything is possible!
AshLee stays up to date on Nutrition and Healthy lifestyles for your dogs, and enjoys seeing how this can not only benefit their health and lifespan, but also their behavior. She enjoys using training techniques that are gentle, yet effective, in order to achieve happy, well balanced dogs, both on and off leash. This Balanced Based technique is also applied with her personal dogs as well as any dogs that stay with her, whether working on a behavioral problem or a happy go lucky dog in need of some obedience. Dogs that get the opportunity to stay with her in home, are treated like a member of her own pack, and go home happy and well adjusted.
Ashlee works hard to maintain good relationships between clients, as well as their dogs, and loves to see them create stronger and happier relationships together. She has always had deep compassion, true loyalty, and deep love for all animals, and takes great pride in being albe to rehabilitate, socialize, and train many different types of dogs. From large dogs lacking socicilization skills, homeless dogs in shelters, down to young puppies who need good manners and proper foundation.
Here at The Loyal Canine, we use gentle, yet effective methods to train your dog. We pride ourselves on making training a fun and positive lifestyle that both you and your dog enjoy and are proud of!
AshLee is a proud member of the IACP, International Association of Canine Professionals, and is licensed and insured. We recently have relocated to Layton Utah, yet still service all over many areas in and out of the valley!
