Focusing on creating positive good habits from the beginning is easy, it is more difficult to re establish good behavior from existing bad habits. Here at The Loyal Canine I understand that all dogs are individual and have different needs. This program is customized to meet each dog and families needs and expectations and timeliness reflect as such as I see needed.

The New Puppy
This program starts out with a twist on the Puppy Fundamentals program. If your puppy is between 8 weeks and 6 months of age, your puppy will stay with me for 4-6+ weeks. During that time, we will work on scheduling, foundation , potty training, on and off leash work, puppy manners, socialization, and basic obedience. This includes sit, down, stay, and recall. At the go home, we will meet for a 2-3 hour consultation doing hands on work; go over handouts, watch video of your puppy’s stay with me, and teaching you how to recognize and address any undesirable behaviors that come up while your puppy is growing. At the end of this meeting my goal is to make sure all of your questions are answered and you feel confident moving towards the next step in training. You will receive a leash and any other tools needed. You are welcome to unlimited follow up sessions.
Puppy Pre-School
When your dog is 6-9 months old, they will come stay for another 2+ weeks. At this point in training, we focus on introducing your dog to the E-collar and off leash reliability. Your dog will be placed in real world situations around distractions and excitement. They will learn off leash; stays, sit, down, place, heel, and recall using E-Collar. Throughout training I emphasize on proper socialization with other animals and people and will gear your puppy’s training towards preventing any major behavior problems or difficulties. Creating a calm balanced dog and laying a nice foundation is what you need to have a completely balanced off leash reliable companion. We will schedule 2 follow up sessions, and at your discretion you can schedule more!
The Adolescent
At 12-18 months old your dog will have an additional stay for an additional 2+ weeks focusing on mastering complete off leash reliability and obedience. If your dog has developed any behaviors you don’t like, or if there is any major behavior modification needed, we will also address these issues. This is an intense refresher course right in the middle of the “teens”. As dogs grow and develop in our human world, sometimes they plateau and need a little help along the way to adulthood.
At this point we will cover anything to complete your dog training needs. At each go home or follow up, we will discuss the training progress and where to advance to next.
On To Adulthood
After the intense refresher course with me, you and your dog have the training and the tools to move head on into adulthood. If at any time you need assistance with your dogs behavior or training, even into the senior years, you are welcome to unlimited follow up sessions. This lasts the Lifetime of your dog! I use low level stimulation conditioning with all remote dog training collars/E-collars. This is very important in making training fun and consistent. It also gives the best results in off leash reliability, obedience, and behavior modification. The collars I use are not cheap “Shock collars you’d buy at a convenience store”. Most board and train stays are a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks with go home that following week. Average could be more pending a dogs behavioral and health needs and learning pace which is common. If A dog is ready at the 2 to 4 week, albeit rare especially with some breeds who mentally mature a little slower, but if so I’ll schedule that go home earlier. We want them solid, so as to set them up for long term success, once home. I typically will contact 3/4 through to discuss go home times and best dates, as well as working around weather & holiday schedules as well as any other worldly events i must work around at these times.
